Manuchehr Shahrokhi is a Craig Fellow Professor of Global Business – FINANCE at Craig School of Business – California State University-Fresno. He has over ten years of corporate experience, three years as CEO and CFO Senior VP of Commercial three of the largest companies in the Middle East and National Iranian Oil Company. Prior to joining Cal State he taught at Ohio State, Franklin and Capital University in Ohio. Over the past two decades Professor Shahrokhi has taught at Harvard and executive MBA programs at the University for Business & Technology in Kosovo and joint program of Cal State Hayward and Russian Academy of Economic Sciences in Moscow a number of times. Dr. Shahrokhi is the founding editor of the Global Finance Journal in 1989. The Journal is a professionally refereed journal with worldwide distribution and readership and is published by Elsevier Scientific Publishing. The editorial board of the Journal is a ‘Who is Who’ of global finance. In 1994, he organized the very first Global Finance Conference with the help of the editorial board of the Journal. Now in its fifteenth year, GFC has been held around the world. As the Executive Director of the Global Finance Association-Conference, professor Shahrokhi has developed a global network of 1000 finance professionals worldwide. Both the Journal and the Conference have provided lively forums for presentation, debate and dissemination of the State-of-the-Art advances in global finance. Keynote and featured speakers have included many Nobel Laureates, senior executives and top government official including former Prime Minister of New Zealand and former Secretariat General of the World Trade Organization. Dr. Shahrokhi has Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Tehran Business School, MBA in Finance & Investment from the George Washington University, and Ph.D. in Business Administration (International Business – FINANCE) for the Ohio State University. Dr. Shahrokhi has authored books and scholarly and applied publications in refereed journals. He has been keynote speaker at many international conferences including the China WTO and Financial Engineering Conferences. He is avid football (soccer) player and has coached junior soccer teams. He enjoys reading, writing, traveling, and spending time with family. |
