2009 Global Finance Conference

 

The 16th Annual Global Finance Conference will be held at Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 5-8, 2009. This year, the GFC will be organized by Executive Director, Manuchehr Shahrokhi, and co-organized by FIMA at the University of Hawaii. The GFC shall continue its tradition of bringing together scholars, practitioners and policy makers to exchange of advances their scholarly findings. Global Financial Crisis, Risk, Derivatives, Structured Finance and New Financial Architecture are the themes of the Conference.

Authors of accepted papers, if they so desire, may submit a two-page detailed abstract for the conference web-proceedings. The top 5 papers presented at the Conference in the area of global finance theory, policy and/or application will be awarded on a competitive basis. One of the awards is for doctoral student papers. The papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Global Finance Journal.
