La Trobe University is the host of the 14th Annual Global Finance Conference (GFC2007) in Melbourne, the events capital of Australia.
The Rt. Hon. Mike Moore, former Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and an Adjunct Professor at La Trobe University, will open the conference.
The top five (5) papers presented at the conference in the area of global finance theory, policy and or application will be awarded cash prizes by the Global Finance Association and will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Global Finance Journal.
La Trobe University Law School will award a cash prize for the best paper from the legal and regulatory stream (track) and the top papers from this stream (track) will be considered for a special edition of the La Trobe University School of Law Journal, Law in Context, to be edited by Professor Gordon Walker.
In addition, La Trobe University will award an inaugural cash prize for the best paper presented at the conference by a PhD student.
